SMART INDIA HACKATHON 2019

The 36 hour long Smart India Hackathon came to a close at IIT Bhilai on 03rd March 2019. Total 184 participants in 23 teams across the nation brainstormed to provide intelligent solutions to various issues from Nutrient analysis to Artificial intelligence

The chief guest for the valedictory function Dr. Rajat Moona (Director, IIT Bhilai) appreciated all the participants for taking up societal problems as a challenge and striving hard for its solutions in a stipulated time frame which helps them for future growth when they work in similar environments. Mr. Nilesh Shelke, Kisan Forum Pvt Ltd., Mr. Anant D Patil, Praj Industries Limited and Mr. Naresh Gandhi, Kirloskar Oil Engines were the guests of honour. Dr. Pooja Rawat, Innovation Officer, MHRD Innovation cell was also present on the occasion.

In the SIH 2019, the teams worked for continuous 36 hours and were exposed to three rounds of mentoring and judging by the team of judges consisting of ICAR scientists and IT industry experts. After three rounds of judging, six teams were selected as winners and awarded with the winning trophies and cash prizes. The teams Blackk_coderss_, BEACONLIGHTS, INNOVATION-404, Tech BACCRA, Macros and AXENICS were the winners of SIH India Hackathon 2019. The Director of IIT Bhilai, Prof. Rajat Moona, congratulated the winners and encouraged all the participants.

The two days’ event was successfully conducted by IIT Bhilai, wherein all the participants were provided with accommodation, food and round the clock medical attention. This unique event encouraged many young minds to convert their knowledge into skills that would solve many crucial challenges faced by our country.
