International Day of Yoga-2019

Yoga is a physical, mental and spiritual practice that evolved over thousands of years to embrace a wide range of styles and disciplines aims to transform the human body and mind. It is a science that is designed to cultivate health and happiness, a greater sense of awareness and higher consciousness. Keeping this in mind, International Day of Yoga (IDY) has become the country’s biggest organized public movement for health over the last four years.

Department of Sports and Yoga, IIT-Bhilai is organizing the following events in the Institute for celebrating 5th IDY (2019).

50 days’ public movement for health starts on 02nd May2019. Activity Schedule is as follows

Daily Yoga Session

Time: 6am-7am (Yoga Classes)
 6pm-7 pm (Yoga Demonstration Practice)

Venue-Academic block

The schedule of the competitions is as follows (details will be emailed in due time):

1. Essay competition17th June 2019
2. Drawing competition18th June 2019
3. Online Quiz Competition19th June 2019
4. Yoga Championship20th June 2019

Participation is open to all faculty members, staff and students.
