General Functions of FIC-IITBAA Office:
1. Coordinating with IIT Bhilai Alumni Association (IITBhAA) to carry out several activities as per the Memorandum of Association and Rules and Regulations of IITBAA.
- Organising Annual General Meeting
- Filing of Annual Report and Audit Reports to the Registrar-Firms and Societies, Chhattisgarh
- Liaising with Auditors for tax filing, preparation of Audit Reports etc
- Organising Alumni Meetings
2. Conducting Annual Elections to elect members of the Executive Committee of IITBAA.
3. Maintaining an updated Alumni database.
4. Maintaining a regular dialogue between Alumni and the current students with the aid of the following activities:
- Alumni Masterclass
- Leader’s Lounge
- Alumni Career Guidance Program, ACGP(Mentorship model)
5. Sending regular updates about the happenings of the campus to the Alumni, letting them to feel connected to IIT Bhilai through the monthly SAMPARK E-magazine and Social media posts.
6. Selection of the Students' Alumni Cell(SAC).
Students' Alumni Cell (SAC)
When the first batch of IIT Bhilai students graduated in 2020, the Students' Alumni Cell (SAC) was established with the primary goal of strengthening the connection between the dreamers (students) and the achievers (alumni). SAC envisions nurturing a dynamic and enduring relationship between the institute and its alumni community. As a bridge between current students and graduates, SAC facilitates mentorship, guidance, and collaboration. It strives to ensure that students, considered the true assets of the institute receive valuable insights and support from alumni, thereby accelerating their personal and professional growth. Through its initiatives, SAC aims to contribute to the development of both the institute and its alumni network, eventually emerging as a pillar of support and trust within the IIT Bhilai fraternity. The cell is currently an eight-member team led by it's Coordinator, Aditya Yadav.
